NGPF On-Demand: $7.25 - The Minimum Wage
NGPF On-Demand is a professional development opportunity that allows teachers to deepen their content knowledge on their own schedule and at their own pace.
One of the 26 modules available is “$7.25 - The Minimum Wage”. With a recent push for $15, this module will review the current minimum wage federally and in your own state, take a look at who’s living on minimum wage and what that means, as well as the potential pros and cons of raising the minimum wage.
Here are some highlights from the module:
- Investigate the minimum wage in your state, when it was last raised in your state and a comparison to the states nearby.
- Watch a video about the history of minimum wage.
- Review multiple data sources on who in the United States earns subminimum or minimum wage.
