Highlights of the NGPF Academy 2020-2021 Year
The 2020-2021 NGPF Academy Year concluded at the end of May with nearly 6500 teachers investing 139,901 hours in professional development. WOW! That's almost 5800 days or the equivalent of 16 years of collaborating with peers, learning new content and finding resources for your students. This quantifies the heroic teacher commitment and resilience that we witnessed every day during this pandemic period! Over the next two weeks, we look forward to sharing more teacher accomplishments in these blog posts.
A little history and explanation: We developed NGPF Academy several years ago as a way to reward and recognize YOU for investing YOUR time in FREE NGPF professional development opportunities. These rewards include gift cards and NGPF swag as you hit certain milestones, as you progress from freshperson (10 credits) to senior (40 hours). Your participation in PD grew dramatically in the past school year as we launched NGPF Certification Courses in June of 2020 and On-Demand modules in January of 2021. For those new to NGPF PD and wondering how to enroll in NGPF Academy, no worries. When you attend a virtual PD, participate in a certification course or complete an on-demand module and you are automatically enrolled in the program.
It's summertime now, so there’s no better time to dive in and experience NGPF Academy. Take advantage of the NGPF Summer PD Challenges that just started!
