Seeking teacher input: What are the top trends in personal finance?
Please join me on Monday, December 16th at 2pm PT for a webinar on "Top 10 Trends in Personal Finance."
I started a list but wanted to be sure to get your input also.
Here's a few trends that I plan to cover:
- Tech companies offering financial products
- Stock Index funds cross a critical threshold
- Changes to credit score methodologies are boosting scores
- Fraud moves to the phone
- New data to aid college decision-making process
Please let me know about new products/trends/ideas that students are asking you about. Send them to tim@ngpf.org or post them to FinLit Fanatics.
If your idea is included in the webinar, I will be sure to mention your name:)
About the Author
Tim Ranzetta
Tim's saving habits started at seven when a neighbor with a broken hip gave him a dog walking job. Her recovery, which took almost a year, resulted in Tim getting to know the bank tellers quite well (and accumulating a savings account balance of over $300!). His recent entrepreneurial adventures have included driving a shredding truck, analyzing executive compensation packages for Fortune 500 companies and helping families make better college financing decisions. After volunteering in 2010 to create and teach a personal finance program at Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto, Tim saw firsthand the impact of an engaging and activity-based curriculum, which inspired him to start a new non-profit, Next Gen Personal Finance.
