Sneak Peak - Middle School Parent Newsletters
Calling all middle school teachers! NGPF’s Middle School Course now includes parent newsletters. You can more easily keep families informed and support student learning at home.
Each unit of the Middle School Course has a customizable newsletter to send home to families. It includes space for important announcements, a unit summary, and prompts to start financial conversations at home.

How to Find and Use the Newsletters
The newsletters will be added to the Middle School Course page this fall. You can also find them linked on each Lesson Guide under "Plan Your Unit".
To use the newsletters, make a copy and customize any portions highlighted in yellow. Then, include them in the communications you send home to students’ families.
For high school teachers - our other courses already include parent newsletters!
- Newsletters are linked at the top of each unit on the Semester Course, Full-Year Course, and Trimester Course pages. They are also linked in each Lesson Guide.
- Newsletters are linked in each Lesson Guide for the Financial Algebra Course and will be added to the course page this fall.
About the Author
Kathryn Dawson
Kathryn (she/her) is excited to join the NGPF team after 9 years of experience in education as a mentor, tutor, and special education teacher. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in policy analysis and management and has a master's degree in education from Brooklyn College. Kathryn is looking forward to bringing her passion for accessibility and educational justice into curriculum design at NGPF. During her free time, Kathryn loves embarking on cooking projects, walking around her Seattle neighborhood with her dog, or lounging in a hammock with a book.
