If your high school is in California, you probably know how important A-G courses are to your course catalog and students' futures in the University of California or California State University system. We're pleased to announce that having your school's personal finance course approved for "G" credit just got a lot easier, as NGPF is now an approved Program. 

Which NGPF Courses are approved by University of California's A-G program? 

• Semester Course -- half year, G (college-prep elective) credit
• Full-Year Course -- full year, G (college-prep elective) credit
• Financial Algebra -- full year, C (mathematics) credit 

Where do we find these approved courses on the A-G website? 

NGPF is listed as a program (under our full name, Next Gen Personal Finance) with our 3 approved courses available in the reference list.

What steps do I follow to make my school's Personal Finance or Financial Algebra course A-G approved?

You can find the full list of steps to follow on the UC website's FAQs for adding new courses. Or, pass this blog post on to whoever at your school already handles A-G course submissions. They're probably a pro at this and will be pleased to know NGPF has just made their job a bit easier. 

What if my high school is NOT in California? 

Frankly, none of this means much to you. But, while you're here, please check out the Semester Course, Full-Year Course, or Financial Algebra Course -- they're free for any teacher in any state to use!
