The NGPF Semester Course is getting a glow-up! 

Summer is finally upon us! Along with sunny days and some much-deserved personal time, over the next few months teachers can expect to see some exciting updates to our Semester Course offering. For teachers who currently use this course or plan to in the future, we want to give you an overview of what to expect and when you’ll see the changes.

Note: Since significant updates will be made, we highly recommend waiting to organize your courses, adding course materials to your LMS, etc. until the updated units are released.

What Kind of Updates Are Happening?

• Updated unit and lesson sequencing
• Replacement of outdated resources and topics
• Inclusion of awesome NGPF resources that have been created since the Semester Course was first introduced
• New document style, formatting, and accessibility updates
• Updated Nearpod lesson decks

When Will We See the Changes?

• The old version of the course will be retired in July and moved to the teacher toolkit. It will remain on the website for the 2022-2023 school year. However, please note that it will NOT be actively updated or maintained.
• We will be releasing updated units in three “blocks” throughout the summer. The benefit of this will be teachers being able to view and plan around the updated units and lessons over time rather than having an entirely new course made available just before the start of the school year. 

Congratulations on completing a school year teaching what is arguably the most important course your students will ever take! We look forward to making sure your students have the most relevant, up-to-date, and engaging content possible to make next year even better.

Ryan grew up with and maintains a love for learning. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Business Administration and worked in sports marketing for a number of years. After living in Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, and Minnesota, the call of education eventually brought Ryan back to his home state of Wisconsin where he was a Business and Marketing teacher for three years. In his free time he likes to spend time with his wife and daughter, play basketball, read, and go fishing.
